A Meditation on Carolina Santos-Neves

First, a word about her name. I’ve called Carolina Santos-Neves “Santos” since we’re in our early-20s. It started naturally; I call many of my close guy friends by their last name and “Santos” came first in her typically hyphenated Brazilian last name. Santos is phonetically satisfying to say.
